Job summary

A social housing organization in the United Kingdom is seeking a Housing Assistant for a 3-month fixed-term contract. The role involves providing administrative support within Customer Support, ensuring effective service for both teams and customers. Education

GCSE level or equivalent in Maths & English (at least Grade C / Level 4)

Job Title: Housing assistant

Location: Hybrid – x3 days in Ealing office, x2 home working days

Working hours: 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 1pm to 4pm

Salary: £12,726 per annum

Contract: 3 month fixed term contract

DBS level: Basic

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing administrative support within Customer Support. Ensure that a high level of effective service is consistently provided to both our teams and customers.
  • Develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships with all colleagues and teams you work closely with
  • Allocate and prioritise tasks efficiently so they are completed within timescales
  • Be willing to manage small projects in your team as required by the management team
  • Make sure your objectives and tasks are being met and recorded against the KPI properly to help with tracking and reporting
  • Ensure you give excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
  • Complete all general administration and support tasks that are needed by Lettings, Income, Case Management, and Neighbourhood teams, and any other areas of Customer Support Team
  • Ensure that you update the relevant IT system(s) with every customer contact.
  • Ensure effective management of tasks, answering queries and resolving matters at first point of contact where possible.
Qualifications and training Essential
  • GCSE level or equivalent in Maths & English (at least Grade C / Level 4)
Knowledge and skills
  • Experience of delivering an effective customer-oriented service
  • Able to effectively prioritise workload
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to customer and colleagues, and external service providers
  • Excellent skill level on Microsoft applications – e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, F&O, Dynamics
