This role involves negotiating with landlords and assessing applications under housing laws. Ideal candidates should have strong communication and organizational skills, as well as experience in housing or related fields. A supportive team and training opportunities are offered.
Are you passionate about helping people in housing need? Do you have the skills to prevent homelessness and make a real difference in your community? If so, we'd love to hear from you. About the Role: We're looking for a Housing Advice Officer to join our busy team. You'll provide high-quality housing advice and work directly with residents who are facing homelessness or housing difficulties.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same - one day you might be negotiating with a landlord to save someone's tenancy, the next you could be supporting a vulnerable household to access safe accommodation. You'll manage your own caseload, carry out detailed homelessness assessments under the Housing Act 1996 and Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, and develop Personalised Housing Plans to achieve the best possible outcomes for our residents.
