A local healthcare provider in Ashton-under-Lyne seeks a motivated housekeeper to ensure a safe and caring environment for patients. Responsibilities include coordinating housekeeping duties, cleaning, and supporting administrative tasks. Previous NHS experience is desirable but not essential. The role offers flexible working, generous holiday allowances, and comprehensive training opportunities.
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join the team on the Acute Frailty Hub as a housekeeper. This role will ensure the patients journey is a safe and caring experience. Under the direction of the Sister/Charge Nurse you will help ensure that we provide a clean, safe and comfortable environment for our patients and supporting the day to day running of the housekeeping role. The post holder will work as an integral part of the team, responsible for the coordination of all housekeeping duties and work as part of the multi‑professional team.
The main elements of the role include catering responsibilities, cleaning, ordering of stores, minor maintenance of equipment, re‑stocking of areas, and other specified tasks as directed by the nurse in charge. The role may also include day‑to‑day administrative support for the effective running of the ward area. The role holder will be expected to work on their own initiative and plan their workload, although there will be senior colleagues around for advice.
