An established industry player is seeking compassionate volunteers to support families in Norfolk. This rewarding role involves sharing your parenting experiences and providing tailored support to families in their homes. Volunteers will help parents build confidence and cope with life's challenges, making a real difference in their lives. With a commitment of just 2 to 3 hours a week, you will receive full training and ongoing support from a Family Support Coordinator. Role
Are you a Mum, Dad, Grandparent or Carer?
We are looking for compassionate, committed, non-judgmental and caring individuals to join our community of volunteers to share their parenting experience and knowledge with families in Norfolk. Could you spare 2 to 3 hours a week to support a family in need? Our volunteers need to be friendly, approachable, trustworthy and good listeners.
Being a parent has never been easy. It can be lonely, frustrating, heartbreaking and overwhelming. Our volunteers offer tailored support to families in their own homes, helping parents to develop their confidence to learn to cope with the challenges and stresses life has thrown at them. As a parent or someone with caring experience, you’ll have the understanding to support those families who need some extra help…your help.
Volunteers are fully trained and are given expert support and advice from their Family Support Coordinator.
Time commitment
Two to three hours per week.
About the organisation
To help children get the best possible start in life, Home-Start Norfolk supports parents across the county to grow in confidence, strengthen their relationships with their children, learn to cope with the challenges they face and widen their links with the local community. In doing so, parents are empowered to function effectively and independently in their day-to-day lives, building better lives for their children.
