Overview

Stephen James Consulting is partnering with an established elderly care provider in their search for a Home Manager. This pivotal role will be accountable for the full operational leadership of a 60-bed residential care home in Canterbury, Kent. This is a key appointment requiring an experienced leader who can drive quality, compliance, and strong staff engagement within a large residential service.

Responsibilities
  • Taking full accountability for the safe and effective running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with CQC requirements.
  • Leading the development and evaluation of all aspects of service provision, ensuring legislation, policies, procedures, and codes of practice are fully adhered to.
  • Driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement, motivating and mentoring the staff team to achieve excellence.
  • Establishing and maintaining an atmosphere of care that reflects the provider's values, centred on dignity, respect, and individualised care.
Qualifications / Experience
  • At least 3 years' proven experience as a Home Manager within residential care (non-nursing).
  • Strong track record of driving improvement and delivering high-quality outcomes for residents.
  • A strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to mentor and support staff effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
Salary & Opportunities

This role is offering £75,000 per annum, reflecting the scale and leadership responsibility of this appointment.
