Home Care assistant / support worker

Craven Home Care is a small family company located on the boundary of Lancashire and North Yorkshire. It is a lovely place to live and work within a friendly environment.

We have vacancies for full and part‑time staff supporting clients in the local community to live independently within their own homes.

We support clients in all aspects of daily living including personal care, medication support, meal preparation, domestic support, community engagement, support to appointments, social activities and supported holidays (by choice).

Our clients range from eighteen years to one‑hundred years plus and no two days are ever the same. We match clients and staff to develop a good caring professional relationship. Applicants of all ages are encouraged.

We ensure that our visits to clients give time to fully support them without rushing or pressure.

Applicants do not have to have previous experience – full training will be given with support to achieve a care certificate and diploma in Health and Social Care.

Staff need to be able to drive and have access to a vehicle. Staff are expected to work every other weekend and some evenings, but we can be flexible and look at evening or weekend staff. No zero‑hour contracts.

Responsibilities

Support clients with personal care, medication management, meal preparation, domestic support and community engagement. Assist with appointments, social activities and supported holidays. Maintain a safe, respectful and independent environment for each client.
