Randstad Education is currently recruiting for confident and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across our partner primary schools in the Leeds area. Whether you are looking for 2 days a week or full-time long-term cover, we have daily supply and short-term placements available to suit your schedule.

Your Role: As a Supply HLTA, no two days are the same. Your responsibilities will include:

• Covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher (PPA cover or sickness).
• Delivering learning activities to whole classes, ensuring behaviour management policies are followed.
• Working with small groups for targeted interventions (literacy/numeracy catch-up).
• Supporting the general running of the classroom and assisting with resources.
• Providing feedback to the regular class teacher on pupil progress and behaviour.

What we need from you:

• Qualification: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status (Level 4) or a relevant degree with significant experience leading whole classes.
• Experience: proven experience teaching or covering classes within a UK Primary School setting.
• Confidence: The ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and deliver engaging lessons.
• Compliance: An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
• References: Two professional references to cover your work history.
