Job Title: SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Bromley

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive and inclusive school in Bromley. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring they have access to high-quality education and tailored support that enables them to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver targeted interventions and learning support to pupils with SEND.
  • Plan and deliver small group or 1:1 sessions, under the guidance of the SENCO and teaching staff.
  • Support the development of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Assist in monitoring pupil progress and adapting strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and external professionals.
  • Provide classroom support and cover lessons as required.
Requirements
  • HLTA qualification (or equivalent) with proven SEND experience.
  • Strong understanding of a range of SEND needs, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH).
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
  • A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
