Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic HLTA with a focus on Maths and Numeracy to join a supportive school team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in raising attainment and building confidence in mathematics across the school. Starting ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Delivering planned lessons and interventions in maths and numeracy, working with individuals, small groups, and whole classes
• Supporting pupils in developing strong numeracy skills and problem-solving strategies
• Assisting teachers with planning, preparation, and assessment of maths learning
• Creating and adapting resources to support pupils with varying abilities and needs
• Monitoring and tracking pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and the SENCO
• Promoting positive attitudes towards maths and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning

Ideal HLTA

• Hold HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience
• Have strong subject knowledge in maths and experience supporting numeracy development
• Be confident delivering lessons and interventions independently
• Have excellent communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills as an HLTA
• Be proactive, adaptable, and passionate about helping pupils succeed in maths
