Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across Primary Schools in the Medway area. Responsibilities include preparing classrooms, teaching classes unassisted, and working with students needing special attention. Experience as a HLTA is highly desirable. The Role

Tradewind Recruitment are currently sourcing for a HLTA to work across Primary Schools in the Medway area. We are engaging several schools for roles to start immediately and also for September.

Responsibilities

• Preparing classrooms for lessons, including setting up video presentations and sourcing books and handouts for students
• Teaching classes unassisted, especially when Teachers are ill or on leave
• Working with small groups of students or individuals needing special attention
• Assessing students' progress and discussing development with Teachers, parents and Carers

Requirements

• Experience working as a HLTA would be highly desirable
• Holding a L4 HLTA qualification would be highly desirable but not essential
• Experience leading and delivering lessons to whole classes within Primary
• Experience planning and delivering specialist PPA lessons across the primary curriculum
• Either have, or be willing to get, an enhanced DBS on the update service
• Must have right to work in the UK
