History Teacher – Outstanding School – Surrey

An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Surrey seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable History Teacher to join their thriving and highly successful Humanities department. This is a full-time, permanent position, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5 teaching for a suitably experienced candidate).

Responsibilities

The successful History Teacher will plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that foster critical thinking, source analysis, and a deep understanding of the past. You will cover a range of historical periods, preparing students for GCSE and potentially A-Level examinations. Developing students' historical skills, assessing progress rigorously, and providing constructive feedback are key parts of this History Teacher role.

Requirements

Applicants must be a qualified History Teacher (QTS) with a degree in History or a closely related field. Proven experience teaching History at the secondary level is essential, ideally with a track record of excellent student outcomes.
