A leading education recruitment agency is seeking a passionate History Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Birmingham. You will deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 History lessons, with full planning and marking responsibilities, in a role that extends until July 2025. Ideal candidates will hold QTS and have a strong background in History.
History Teacher
Start Date: ASAP or after October half-term
Contract: Full-time, long-term until July 2025
Pay: £165 – £240 per day (dependent on experience)
Connex Education are working with a large, busy mixed secondary school in the South Birmingham area who are seeking a committed Humanities Teacher to join their team. The role is full-time and will focus on teaching KS3 and KS4 History, including full planning, preparation, and marking responsibilities, until the end of the summer term.
Our client school is welcoming and supportive, and they are open to considering both ECTs and experienced teachers. As long as you have taught History at KS3 & KS4, your wider Humanities background will also be valued.
Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3 & KS4
Plan, prepare, and assess in line with the national curriculum and school policies
Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of History in your students
Support the wider school ethos and contribute to enrichment activities
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching History at secondary level
Strong classroom management and ability to inspire and engage learners
Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills
Start available ASAP or after October half-term
Long-term role until July 2025 with potential for extension
Competitive daily pay rates between £165 – £240
