Job summary

A leading highways contractor is seeking a Highways Supervisor in Manchester. This role involves supervising night shift teams for VRS installation, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Candidates should hold SSSTS or SMSTS certification and have a strong understanding of highways work. Long-term opportunities are available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• SSSTS or SMSTS certification is required.
• Shall possess a Valid Safety Critical Medical.
• NHSS Passport must be held.
• Minimum training of CAT 4+ is necessary.

Overview

We\'re recruiting for a Highways Supervisor to oversee Highways and Vehicle Restraint System (VRS) works across the region. This is a night shift role, supervising site teams and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.

• Supervise and coordinate VRS installation works during night shifts
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and site procedures
• Monitor site progress and quality of works
• Liaise with operatives, subcontractors, and management to resolve issues on site

Requirements

• SSSTS or SMSTS certification
