Job description
Highways Inspector – Exeter

Our client has an opportunity for a Highways Inspector for their Highways and Footways contract across Devon.

Required to work within Devon’s network based from Exeter. You will be required to work in a 2 person team and undertake various inspections, of roads and footpaths and other on-site and office tasks.

Jobs are expected to be but not limited to:
  • Network inspections to Identify defects.
  • Identify works and create works orders.
  • Assist with maintaining the programme of and undertake network inspections, if applicable.
  • Assist with maintaining the defect data base.
  • Be part of the rota for an out of hours Duty Officer for Winter Maintenance and Emergency Response.
  • Assist with the coordination with clients requirements

Hours of work:

Monday – Friday , days 7.30am until 4pm

Rate of Pay:

£33,000 per annum based on 37 hours per week (£17.15 per hour)

All our positions are PAYE positions so you will benefit from:
  • Accrued Holiday Pay from day one
  • Pension contributions (after a qualifying period)
  • Weekly Pay
  • No umbrella payments or fees
  • Only Tax and National Insurance deductions and this will be shown on your payslip.
This will start as a temporary role, but will become permanent after 3-4 months
