Job Title: Highways Electrician

Base Location: Nottingham

Salary: From £27,011 to £31,094 depending on skills, experience and working hours - Time Incentive Management (TIM) Bonus Scheme plus a befind of other benefits to support your family 手机上天天中彩票finance and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Full Time Monday – Thursday 7:00‑3:00, Friday 7:00‑2:30. Overtime available for those who want it.

Through design, project management, consultancy, installationميز and maintenance we play a major role in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints, helping towns and cities become smarter, greener and more efficient.

What will I be doing in this role?

This role is for a Street Lighting Electrician to join our team. The team is responsible for ongoing street lighting works in Nottingham on a long‑term contract.

In a typical day you could expect to:

  • Maintain street lighting infrastructure, including streetlights, signs, subways, lamp changes, visual inspections and electrical testing.
  • Carry out electrical connections to new street lighting infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and repair faults.
  • Deliver outstanding service to clients and the public.
  • Operate a mobile elevated working platform (MEWP).
  • Attend the emergency standby rota (on‑call to attend out‑of‑hours call‑outs, Monday to Sunday).
  • Work to strict safety guidelines and regulations.
What do I need to be successful in the role?
  • Electrical background and completion of an apprenticeship with an NVQ Level 3.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Comfortable working outdoors year‑round in all weathers.
  • Experience working at height (comfortable operating a MEWP above 12 m).
  • Full UK driving licence (to cover a wide range of locations).
Nice to haves(Convert to list)
  • IPAF/PASMA working‑at‑height training.
  • Good knowledge of the 18th Edition.
  • AM2 City & Guilds 2391 qualification.
  • Completion of G39 Electrical Safety training (planning, installation, commissioning and maintenance of public lighting and street furniture).
  • HGV Class 2 licence.
