A local authority in England is seeking an experienced Highway Asset Manager to lead the development of their Highways Asset Management Policy. The role involves managing highway infrastructure, ensuring compliance with legislation, and delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in managing highway assets and demonstrate excellent communication skills. This position offers a starting salary of £51,356, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Salary: Starting Salary is £51,356 rising to £54,495 per annum (Pro rata for part time)

We are looking for an experienced Highway Asset Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the local authority’s Highways Asset Management Policy and Strategy.
This role ensures the safe, sustainable, and cost-effective management of highway infrastructure, supporting statutory responsibilities and delivering value for money through data-driven investment planning and lifecycle management.
It is a technical specialist position that plays a key role in maintaining one of the council’s most valuable public assets.
