Role

A busy and vibrant primary school in Cheetham Hill is looking for a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to take on a role that includes regular class cover responsibilities. This position is ideal for a proactive HLTA who can step into whole-class teaching when required, as well as support learning across different key stages.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering planned lessons when covering for teachers
  • Leading small group and 1:1 support sessions across core subjects
  • Supporting teachers with preparation, assessment and classroom management
  • Ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Providing consistency and stability for pupils across the school
What We're Looking For
  • HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Confidence in delivering lessons to whole classes
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
  • Flexibility to work across year groups and adapt to different teaching needs
