Job summary

Job description

Vision for Education is working in partnership with schools in and surrounding Swansea to appoint positive and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA's). Each school has great transport links should you require the use of public transport.

Responsibilities

HLTA's support children throughout the Foundation Phase to Key Stage 2, so applicants will need to have experience of working with all year groups. You will be expected to plan, evaluate and adjust lessons/plans as appropriate to respond to the needs of the pupils and deliver exceptional learning experiences. For longer term placements you will assist in creating a vibrant classroom setting, including appropriate and stimulating learning resources, to enhance children's learning. You will also benefit from each school's in‑house training sessions and staff development meetings.

Requirements
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 4 or above)
  • GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • The confidence to deliver lesson content to whole classes and small groups.
  • Relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
