A local educational organization in Manchester is looking for a part-time teacher to join the High Needs team. You will support young people with additional needs in their learning journey, preparing them for adulthood. The ideal candidate should hold a relevant teaching qualification and have experience in engaging students. Benefits include a generous holiday allowance and access to a flourishing pension scheme.
Working Hours: 25.9 Hours per week (Tuesday - 7.4 hours, Wednesday - 7.4 hours, Thursday - 7.4 hours, Friday - 3.7 hours)

Qualification - Teaching qualification
DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance - this post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). An exciting opportunity has become available to join the High Needs team with MAES. The team delivers high quality education to young people with Education, Health and Care plans. It is an opportunity to work with young people as they prepare for adulthood and to support positive outcomes. The team deliver both in an adult learning centre and in the wider community.
The post holder will deliver both 1-1 and classroom-based learning. They will also work with the District Programme Leader to identify learners at risk of disengagement and support them to stay on course. You should be an inspiring teacher with an ability to enthuse learners about their subject and personal goals. Experience of working with young people with SEND would be an advantage but is not essential.
