A leading employee-owned business in the UK is seeking a Vehicle Technician to maintain and repair its fleet. You will ensure vehicles are roadworthy, complete essential inspections, and work alongside experienced technicians. The role requires specific qualifications in vehicle technology and a valid UK driving license. As a Vehicle Technician in one of our workshops, you'll be repairing and maintaining our fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy to both VOSA and Partnership standards. You’ll be working with many experienced technicians who will ensure you have the tools you need to succeed and excel in your role, with opportunities to develop your knowledge and progress your career.
At a glance:
Salary – up to £44,200 and overtime when required. Please note if you join us on or before 4 October, this role will attract a Shift Premium at 20% (calculated on the pay range minimum) this is an additional earning of up to £6,300 annually. If you join us from 5 October 2025, any time worked between 18:00 – 22:00 will attract an Evening Premium at £3 per hour for those enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.
Working Hours – Full time role, 37.5 hours per week on a 2 week rota, with the expectation of working 1 in 2 Saturdays, at premium overtime rates. Week 1: Monday to Friday 06:00-14:00. Week 2: Monday to Friday 14:00-22:00.

What you'll be doing
As a Technician within the team, you’ll be working on our large HGV lorries. It will be your job to ensure all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard to both VOSA and Partnership requirements.
Ensure the relevant sections of all inspections, services and defect sheets are completed in compliance with our O Licence obligations, and that all spare requests and time books are completed daily. You will need to be aware of best practice and current commercial vehicle repair techniques to ensure high quality repairs are carried out in a cost effective manner and that the use of spare parts and consumables reflects the level of work carried out.
