Job description

We are currently seeking a HGV Trailer Technician on behalf of our Client, an Automotive logistics solutions company based in the Barry area.

The successful HGV Trailer Technician can expect a salary of up to £37000 and working hours of Monday to Friday with some flexibility.

Duties:
  • Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGV trailers.
  • Completion of Job Sheets and Documentation.
  • Liaising with the Service Department and Parts Department.
  • Completion of MOT preparation.
Requirements:
  • To be eligible, you will need to be qualified to at least an NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and repair.
  • Some practical experience on trailers or tail lifts.
  • Any EBS diagnostics experience, welding certifications, training or experience with axle manufacturers, or double deck/lifting deck maintenance experience would be highly desirable but is non-essential.
  • A HGV Class 1 driving licence would also be highly desirable but is non-essential.
  • You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for you and your team.
