Overview

Job Title: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

Salary: £40000 - £50000

Shift: Week 1 Monday to Friday 6.00am - 14.30pm, Week 2 Monday to Friday 13.00pm - 21.30pm

Type: Permanent

Location: Burton On Trent

Responsibilities

• \u0027You\'ll be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.\u0027
• \u0027You\'ll work independently to maintain and repair vehicles and components.\u0027
• \u0027You\'ll carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).\u0027
• \u0027You\'ll provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.\u0027
• \u0027You\'ll carry out final checks on work that has been completed.\u0027

Qualifications and Requirements

• Time-served HGV Technician or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 preferred)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.
• Familiarization with developments in the automotive industry.
• Valid Driving License
