HGV Technician – Haydock, United Kingdom · Fleet · Full-time

Description

We currently have a vacancy for a HGV Technician to join our busy Haydock Depot.

Shift and Salary
  • Shift Options: 45 Hour Week
  • Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm
  • Basic Salary between £45,000 Per Annum + Overtime
Responsibilities
  • Carry out vehicle inspection examinations in line with VOSA procedure and Company policy.
  • Test and check that systems and components are safe, secure and working properly.
  • Diagnose faults by isolating systems or components that may have caused or potentially cause a problem.
  • Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle's breakdown or damage.
  • Gain authorisation to repair or fit parts as required by Company Procedure.
  • Maintain efficiency and accuracy while working.
  • Test drive vehicles where permitted and correct driving license is held.
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment as and when required securing the safety of yourself and all personnel.
  • To complete all paperwork required for the task/ job completed and return this documentation to the workshop controller immediately on completion of the inspection/work.
  • You will be required to assist other technicians with repairs when required, along with completing the workshop controller's duties when required.
Requirements
  • Appropriate technical qualifications.
  • Time Served Tech or NVQ C&G Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Repairs
  • MOT preparation experience
