Job description

We're on the lookout for an experienced HGV Technician for a client in the Bamber Bridge area. The role is hands-on, varied, and no two days are the same. You'll be working on both vehicles and trailers, keeping our fleet in top condition.

What you'll be doing:

• Servicing and repairing our in-house vehicles
• Sorting out defects and carrying out diagnostics
• Fitting kit such as Web-fleet systems, cameras, and inverters
• Trailer servicing, MOT prep, and damage repairs
• A mix of other jobs including fabrication, electrics, bodywork, road tankers, and even the odd vintage vehicle

About the workshop:

• 3 bays, including one pit
• Supportive, down-to-earth team where everyone mucks in

Shifts & hours:

Two shifts, rotating weekly:

• Week 1: 07:00 - 17:00
• Week 2: 08:00 - 18:00
• Every other Saturday morning if needed (not often)

Requirements:

• Proven experience in servicing and repairing HGV's & trailers
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of vehicle systems and components
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

Pay:

• £18.44 per hour for the first 48 hours
• £24.50 overtime rate
• £32.60 premium rate after 12:30pm on Saturdays (rarely needed)
