Overview

Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and skilled Truck Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, to cover both our 18t vehicles & Luton vans. Deliveries are primarily of kitchens / bathroom furniture & fittings, which need careful handling, some deliveries may require a 2nd man to assist.

Responsibilities

• Drive lorries to transport goods to designated locations.
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules.
• Phone & delivery app provided for obtaining POD's.
• Some manual handling required.
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid HGV licence.
• Driver CPC essential
• Multi-drop experience essential.
• Strong navigation skills and familiarity with regional routes.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
• Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and logs.
