Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience driving HGV C+E vehicles.
• Experience with refrigerated deliveries is advantageous.
• Must comply with all driver regulations and legislation.

Responsibilities

• Drive and maintain allocated vehicle for deliveries and collections.
• Conduct routine mandatory defect checks on the vehicle.
• Ensure vehicle is clean inside and out.
• Report any defects to line manager.
• Adhere to Highway Code regulations.

Details of location and shift pattern:

Location: Based from our Head office at Tankersley, Barnsley

Shifts/Hours of work: The successful candidate will work 19 hours per week working Friday and Saturday evenings

Salary/Wage: £17.25 per hour, paid on a four weekly basis

The successful applicant will;

• Drive and maintain your allocated vehicle to make deliveries and collections
• Ensure that each vehicle driven is fit for the road by undertaking routine mandatory defect check
• Maintain a clean vehicle inside and out
• Ensure that you report any defects of the vehicle to your line manager
• Drive in accordance with the Highway Code regulations, and take responsibility for the vehicle
• Adhere to all driver regulations and comply with all driving legislation
• Ensure relevant forms of communication where necessary
• Ensure all stock is taken care of in a safe and proper manner regardless of the tasks undertaken
• Ensure that any paperwork that you prepare or records that you maintain are completed accurately, completely and timely

Who we are looking for:

• HGV C+E License with minimum 1 years’ experience
• Experience of refrigerated deliveries advantageous
• Experience of tail lift deliveries is essential
