Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking HGV 2 drivers for a client based in Newbridge. Responsibilities include overseeing vehicle unloading, ensuring delivery vehicle maintenance, and verifying load security. Candidates must hold a valid HGV Class 2 Licence, along with Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph cards. This is a dayshift position from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 Licence (no more than 6 points) required.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card essential.
• Experience in multi-drop deliveries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safe unloading of vehicles.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for use.
• Check load security and weight distribution.

Manpower is currently looking for HGV 2 drivers to work with one of our clients based in Newbridge ( near Edinburgh )

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises.
• Ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed & returned
• Check the load security & weight distribution according to latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards in terms of reporting of any defects to the vehicle.
• Ensuring vehicles are in a safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use & are operated in a safe manner.

Essential Skills for the role

• To hold a valid HGV Class 2 Licence (with no more than 6 points)
• Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card
• Knowledge of working time directive
• Multi-Drop experience
• Experience working with Steel

Hours of work will be dayshift Monday to Friday.
