Responsibilities
- Youll perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
- youll use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles.
- Youll also have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.
Qualifications
- Qualified mechanic: you\'re fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Heavy vehicle maintenance or equivalent) You\'ve got your own toolkit for standard repairs.
- Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles.
- Valid UK driving licence: You hold a full manual UK driving licence preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience.

- We\'re recruiting an IMI Level 3 qualified Heavy mechanic at Preston Workshop on a Permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £70k per annum including overtime (shift depending).
- Working Hours: Full time - 39.5 hours per week (rotating shift pattern; week 1: 06:00 - 14:30, week 2: 06:00 - 14:30, and week 3: 13:00 - 21:30. You will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays and Sundays (with two days off in the week). We also have a permanent Night Shift Available.
What\'s in it for you?
- Salary: £38,114 plus a shift allowance of £84.06 per week when working the 13:00 - 21:30 shift. The Night shift attracts a weekly shift allowance of £126.06
- Additional weekend supplement on Saturday (£50 per shift) /or Sunday (£100 per shift) is applicable.
