Overview

Are you passionate about delivering high-quality care and looking to build a career in renal nursing? Join our dynamic Haemodialysis team as a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant and take the first step toward becoming a skilled dialysis support professional.

As a Band 2 HCA in our Haemodialysis Unit, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing life-sustaining dialysis treatment. You’ll work closely with nurses and multidisciplinary teams to provide compassionate, safe, and effective care.

Development and Progression

This is a developmental post, offering a structured pathway to Band 3 upon successful completion of training and competencies.

  • A caring and motivated individual with a genuine interest in renal care
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and complete the Band 3 development programme
Role and Responsibilities

The Healthcare Support Worker will be an integral part of the ward/department team actively taking part in meeting the needs of patients and of the service in accordance with agreed standards under direct supervision of the registered nurses, nurse associates and midwives. The post holder will develop essential competencies though training and practice to ensure safety and quality are the priority.
