Overview

To assist in the provision of high quality care to patients and their families under the direction and supervision of the Multi-disciplinary Team.

Demonstrate a range of nursing skills to meet the needs of patients whilst promoting dignity, privacy and respect. To comply with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers. To provide a range of healthcare and non-nursing duties, ensuring an efficient and effective service to the ward/department at all times.

Role and setting

Frailty sector based role at Milford Hospital, a 34 bed acute frailty unit with two wards, Holly and Oak. The hospital is part of Royal Surrey and provides adult community health services in homes across Guildford and Waverley.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a range of nursing skills to meet patient needs while promoting dignity, privacy and respect.
  • Provide a range of healthcare and non-nursing duties to ensure an efficient and effective service to the ward/department.
  • Be adaptable and engaged in teamwork to provide excellent care to a wide variety of patients with various illnesses.
  • Maintain good communication and observation skills; contribute to a supportive and collaborative care environment.
