Healthcare Assistant : Special Needs School (PMLD) : Harrow : Full-time : Long-term : Sept Start

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join a vibrant special needs school in Harrow, supporting children and young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September, offering the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of pupils who require additional care and support in their learning journey.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support for students with PMLD, including personal care and mobility assistance.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to support pupils education and wellbeing.
  • Assist with feeding, hoisting, and the use of specialist equipment as required.
  • Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion for all students.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with PMLD and/or complex needs (school, care, or healthcare setting).
  • Knowledge of personal care routines, moving and handling, and safeguarding.
  • A patient, caring, and resilient nature.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
