This is a Healthcare Assistant role at Cotswold Spa, a specialist eating disorder service located in Broadway, Worcestershire. The role involves providing care and support to young people aged 13+ with eating disorders such as Bulimia Nervosa, Anorexia Nervosa, and Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder. The service offers both inpatient and day patient treatment programmes in a comfortable and contemporary environment.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will join a supportive and inclusive team to provide care and support to people with eating disorders. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours, updating patient records, and assisting with personal hygiene. It is a challenging but rewarding role, where you can make a positive difference in the lives of others. The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week, including nights and weekends.

Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.
It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.
The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including nights and weekends. 38.5 hours per week. The shift is from 8am to 8:15pm or 8pm to 8:15am (11 paid hrs + 1.25hrs unpaid break).
