Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to support clinics in the Peterborough & Cambridge area. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in a UK GP Surgery, excellent patient interaction skills, and flexibility to work across sites. Responsibilities include patient management and clinic support, with a focus on infection control and teamwork. This position offers a £150 welcome bonus after working 150 hours.

Qualifications

Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant looking for a flexible opportunity in a dynamic clinical setting? We’re currently seeking a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our Service Team, assisting with Clinics.

To be suitable for this role, you must have substantial experience working within a UK GP Surgery.

Location: Peterborough & Cambridge

Shift Pattern: Primarily Wednesdays and Fridays. Flexibility for short-notice cover is essential (Bank Cover)

Start Date: ASAP

Your Role Will Include:

  • Welcoming and arriving patients into clinic
  • Setting up and closing down clinics
  • Supporting clinical staff during ENT appointments

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with patients and clinicians (preferably in a clinic setting)
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patient-focused with excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to travel between sites (Peterborough & Cambridge)
  • Good awareness of Infection Prevention & Control (IPC)
  • Confident with IT systems and clinic documentation
