Job Title: Health and Safety Manager / Site Supervisor
Location: Liverpool, UK
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities
- Oversee all health and safety activities on site in line with UK regulations and company standards.
- Manage and maintain safety documentation, including but not limited to LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations), PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations), RAMS (risk assessments and method statements).
- Conduct daily/weekly site safety checks.
- Deliver comprehensive site inductions for all new operatives and visitors.
- Ensure all site personnel are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.
- Liaise with subcontractors, site managers, and external auditors as required.
- Carry out toolbox talks and safety briefings regularly.
- Report and investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture across the site.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Health and Safety or Site Supervisor role within construction or a related industry.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification (beneficial).
- Experience with LOLER and PUWER compliance (essential).
- Strong knowledge of current UK health and safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to lead and influence a team with a positive, proactive approach.
- CSCS card.
- First Aid qualification (desirable).
