Health & Safety Manager – Ellesmere Port
£40,000 - £50,000 (flexible depending on experience)
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Responsibilities
- Promote and develop a strong safety culture across the Ellesmere Port site.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve health and safety practices in all manufacturing units.
- Deliver regular training sessions to employees, ensuring safe working practices are embedded at every level.
- Develop and implement safety protocols, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Lead incident investigations and identify preventive measures to reduce risk.
- Support environmental compliance and contribute to sustainability and ESG initiatives.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate with practical experience in improving safety within a manufacturing environment.
- A background or experience within heavy industry, quarries or similar with a solid understanding of machinery is highly desirable.
- A Health & Safety background within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of building and embedding a positive “safety culture” in an industrial setting.
- Strong working knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance.
- Familiarity with audit processes and safety management systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with regulatory bodies, management, and teams across the business.
