Job description

A valuable opportunity has arisen within an established compliance company known for their expertise in various sectors including asbestos, fire safety and health & safety. They are currently recruiting for an experienced and knowledgeable Health & Safety Consultant based in and around the Slough area. Ideally, they are looking for an individual who holds the CMIOSH or equivalent advanced health & safety qualification and will be experienced in carrying out risk assessments and health & safety audits. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate their specialist knowledge of all relevant health & safety legislation and ability to apply this within the role. Applications from Bracknell, Henley-on-Thames, Hayes, Beaconsfield and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Must come from a strong technical/consultancy/management/auditing asbestos/legionella background.
  • Possess the relevant NEBOSH – CMIOSH certificates – Health & Safety qualifications are essential.
  • Practical working experience within the specified industries e.g. asbestos, legionella, fire would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Have the ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Must be able to deliver presentations.
  • Must have an excellent technical knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, policies & procedures.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package – Database.
  • Flexible attitude towards work with a willingness to travel.
Responsibilities of the Role
  • Carrying out on-site inspections relating to the Health & Safety performance of the teams.
  • Undertaking Health & Safety risk assessments addressing any issues that arise.
  • Carrying out Health & Safety, Staff and Compliance audits, etc.
  • Providing technical support to the company’s clients.
  • Producing comprehensive Audit, Health & Safety and Environmental reports.
  • Delivering Safety training courses as required.
