Health, Safety and Environment Advisor (Nights) | Lichfield | Circa £35,000 + Excellent Benefits

Are you ready to take ownership of health, safety and environmental standards during the night shift at one of the UK's busiest logistics sites? Do you have the presence to guide managers and support the night team, keeping standards steady when the pressure is high? Can you see yourself working in a complex logistics setting where your judgement and calm approach make a real difference each night?

If these questions strike a chord, you may be interested in this Health, Safety and Environment Advisor position, joining their high-profile logistics and distribution hub in Lichfield. A large and busy operation, they handle around 500 vehicles each night across multiple warehouses. You'll report to the general manager and play a key part in how the night shift runs, supporting a team that works with more than a hundred external hauliers and a workforce of several hundred people.

Responsibilities
  • Making sure the right policies and procedures are in place across the warehouse, distribution sites, offices, and field teams, and encouraging good safety practice.
  • Helping to develop and strengthen the wider health and safety approach during night shifts.
  • Running risk assessments, audits, site checks, and incident investigations, and turning the findings into clear actions for fleet, facilities, and field teams.
  • Working with internal teams and contractors to keep safety standards steady across busy and varied sites.
Qualifications
  • Ideally some experience within the Health and Safety industry ideally across the transport, logistics or distribution environment.
  • The confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum.
