Job description

Girling Jones are delighted to be working with this civil engineering contractor to help procure a Health & Safety Advisor for their team in Plymouth.

Projects range in value from GBP100k to GBP5m and they specialise in working across all areas of groundworks and civil engineering for a repeat client base.

Reporting into the Contracts Manager, you will be based on site, 5 days a week, initially on a new build housing development. This role could suit an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor who is looking to take their career into more of a H & S direction - someone keen and willing to learn.

Day to Day Duties will include:

• Carry out risk assessments and method statements
• Carry out regular site inspections
• Record incidents and accidents
• Delivering PPE

What do you need?

• 2 years experience within civil engineering, ideally in a H & S capacity, but not essential
• SMSTS or CSCS
• NEBOSH (preferred, not essential)
