Job summary

A national construction business is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor for its Swindon depot. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing safety systems, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation. Ideal candidates will have a strong construction background and ideally be working towards a NEBOSH qualification. Qualifications

  • Genuine interest in health, safety, and wellbeing.
  • Experience with a Tier 1 contractor in construction.
  • Proactive approach to health and safety duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and monitoring of Safety, Health and Environmental Management system.
  • Assist with HSE Training and awareness programmes.
  • Carry out inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Manage and investigate safety incidents reported within the business.
  • Assist with Occupational Health and Wellbeing campaigns.

Skills

Motivated and proactive individual
Experience in construction & Civil engineering
Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
Good communication skills
Organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working towards or holding a NEBOSH qualification
Membership of IOSH
