Overview

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor! The purpose of this role is to provide health & safety support to line managers and their teams, enabling them to build a strong health & safety culture. You'll be the first point of contact for all health and safety matters across your area, ensuring technical information and legislative requirements are translated into delivering our Virgin Media O2 health and safety vision 'Everyone home safe and well'.

Responsibilities
  • Investigating accidents and incidents to define root causes
  • Continually improve systems and processes
  • Monitor & measure health & safety performance, sharing insights.
  • Supporting the wider team to deliver a health & safety management system compliant with IS045001
Qualifications

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience:

  • NEBOSH certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office e.g. Word, Excel
  • Excellent communication skills and able to present and facilitate effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills i.e. engaging, listening and understanding people's needs
  • Due to the nature of this role a full driving licence is required
Additional qualifications
  • Technical status of IOSH (Tech IOSH) or willing to obtain
  • Passionate about health & safety and keen to develop in this area
  • Ability to produce clear, high-quality reports and other documentation
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Effective influencing skills
