Job description

The practice has a vacancy for a Health Care Assistant. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced HCA to join our friendly, well established nursing team.

The role carries a broad range of responsibilities. This vacancy is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

We are a very friendly practice with a list size of 16,000 patients. Our clinical system is Emis Web.

Overview

Main duties of the job

• NHS Health Checks
• New patient health checks
• ECG recording
• Weight Management
• Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
• Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
• Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations
• Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
• Administering influenza, Pneumococcal and B12 injection under the supervision of the clinical team in accordance with practice protocol and PSD
