Location: Based in Sidcup, with time split between head office and sites across the region.

A leading specialist contractor is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a strategic role, ensuring compliance and promoting a strong safety culture across demolition and asbestos projects.

Key responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain health & safety policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practice.

Carry out site inspections and audits to ensure standards are met and proactively identify risks.

Provide training and guidance to site and office teams on all aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Conduct investigations and prepare reports following incidents or near misses.

Liaise with external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and senior management to ensure smooth project delivery.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a health & safety role within demolition and asbestos projects.

Relevant health & safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate, relevant asbestos certifications).

Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and industry standards.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to engage teams on site and in the office.

Flexibility to work approximately 2-3 days per week in head office, with the remainder of time spent visiting sites.

Flexible working arrangement.
