We have an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Manager to join us and play a critical role in shaping the organisation’s H&S strategy.
In this key position, you will embed a culture of safety ensuring compliance across all operational areas, including office environments, housing stock, repairs and maintenance, and contractor operations.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing guidance on H&S and Occupational Health matters, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance. You will also be responsible for developing policies, driving improvement projects, and delivering training programs that enhance safety awareness and operational excellence.
This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role with the opportunity to influence organisational practices and directly improve the safety and wellbeing of staff, contractors, and residents.
Our Health and Safety Manager will hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent; IOSH membership or other recognised H&S qualification and have proven experience managing health and safety in housing, social care, property management, or similar operational environments.
You will have good knowledge of UK H&S legislation including fire safety, asbestos, legionella, manual handling, and COSHH, along with experience conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
With excellent written and verbal skills, you will have the ability to explain complex H&S concepts to staff, management, and residents.
Experience of delivering training and developing proactive risk mitigation strategies, H&S KPIs, or safety improvement programmes would be beneficial, however not essential.
This post requires that the job holder is subject to a DBS check at a Basic level.
Possession of a current valid driving licence and appropriately insured car is a requirement for the post.
