Overview

Girling Jones are delighted to be working with this civils and groundworks contractor to help procure a Health & Safety Advisor for their team in Devon.

Projects range in value from GBP200k – GBP10m in value and they specialise in working across all areas of groundworks and civil engineering for a repeat client base.

Reporting into the Health & Safety Manager, you'll be responsible for a portfolio of projects in and around the Exeter area. This role could suit an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor who is looking to take their career into more of a H & S direction.

Responsibilities

• Carry out risk assessments
• Outline safe operational procedures which identify and consider all relevant hazards
• Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
• Attend quarterly meetings with the operational teams and management
• Record incidents and accidents
• Delivering PPE

Requirements

• 2 years experience within civil engineering, ideally in a H & S capacity
• NEBOSH
• CSCS Card (Essential)
