Health and Safety Advisor - 12 Month FTC

Location : Ipswich

We are working with a specialist interiors company delivering high-end commercial fit-out and joinery projects. They are seeking a proactive Health & Safety Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide expert advice and ensure compliance across workshop and site environments, driving continuous improvement and supporting key safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide health and safety guidance and act as point of contact during management absence
  • Conduct site inspections, liaise with contractors, and address safety issues
  • Write and review Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, and Method Statements
  • Lead and chair Health & Safety forums and report findings to management
  • Investigate accidents, produce reports, and implement corrective actions
  • Support ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001) and other accreditations
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental policies
Requirements
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (essential)
  • Strong IT skills and effective communication
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Experience in construction or manufacturing environments preferred
  • First Aid and CSCS card desirable
