Heathermount school is an outstanding day school, owned by Cavendish Education, set in 12 acres of beautiful grounds in Ascot, Berkshire. Our mission is to build confidence and prepare students for life. In October 2024 Ofsted graded the school outstanding in all areas. Heathermount also holds NAS Advanced Autism Accreditation, WASP, LPPA and Leaders in Safeguarding (Gold) Award. Heathermount provides a high-quality education for students aged 5-18 who have a primary diagnosis of Autism, as well as some co-occurring conditions. All our students have an Educational Health & Care Plan. We are a well-resourced school with small classes (max 8) with students supported by a team of educational and therapeutic staff who work in unison to achieve the best outcome for our learners. Heathermount follows a slightly adapted national curriculum, with three personalised curriculum pathways that lead to a wide range of academic and vocational qualifications from entry level to level 2 qualifications including GCSE. The majority of our leavers transition to the mainstream college of their choice to study level 2 and 3 courses.

This role is essential in ensuring a cohesive and consistent educational experience, maintaining high academic standards, and overseeing the school's operational and financial performance. The Headteacher will cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and foster strong, collaborative relationships with staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
