Role: Head of Upper School (Junior School)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our senior leadership team as Head of Upper School (Junior School). The Head of Upper School is central to the Junior School’s vision, shaping the educational experience for Years 3‑6 and working closely with a talented team. Reporting to the Head of Junior School, the Head of Upper School will be a visible, trusted and inspiring leader, with wide‑ranging strategic and operational responsibility. It is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious leader looking to take the next step in their leadership journey and to progress in their own leadership career.

Responsibilities
  • Shape and deliver the school’s strategic vision, both academically and pastorally, across KS2.
  • Ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning and academic achievement across KS2, supporting both pupils and staff in developing their potential.
  • Lead and manage initiatives that promote excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Be an exemplary classroom practitioner, inspire pupils and lead by example.
  • Teach core subjects such as English or mathematics.
  • Participate in school life, including residential trips and co‑curricular activities.
  • Take part in Strategic Leadership Group meetings as required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Dynamic and experienced school leader, able to manage strategic and operational responsibilities.
