Job summary

A leading accountancy firm in Greater London is seeking a Head of Tax Knowledge to manage a tax knowledge team and oversee training programs. The ideal candidate will have deep specialist tax knowledge across private clients and trusts, along with proven experience in an accountancy practice. Responsibilities include delivering training, creating tax principles, and managing compliance cycles. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while handling multiple tasks. Flexibility for remote working is provided, requiring office presence 60% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice or financial services firm.
  • Demonstrable evidence of achieving results by working through others.
  • Ideally some experience in practice as well as within a knowledge team.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead a tax knowledge team across private client & trusts.
  • Deliver training on legislative changes as part of the L&D programme.
  • Review tax protocols and create tax principles and risk frameworks.

Skills

Deep specialist tax knowledge across private client and trusts
Excellent influencing, presentation and communication skills
Strong organisational and project management skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Education

A levels and Degree qualified
Professional qualification such as ACA, CTA, STEP or legal qualifications
