Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and football-savvy Head of Social Media & Partnerships to lead our influencer engagement, social strategy, and partnership efforts. You’ll be instrumental in shaping our public voice, amplifying our brand through football podcasting and the influencer community, and driving awareness and engagement around our competitions and campaigns on Social Media.

You will lead and manage collaborations with internal colleagues and external partners, in this fun & fast paced, football focused organisation.

This is a brand new and key leadership role within our marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a compelling, football-centric social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, YouTube, Facebook etc.)
  • Oversee day-to-day content planning, storytelling, posting, and community engagement
  • Monitor analytics and KPIs to continuously optimize performance and grow reach and engagement
  • Influencer & Podcaster Relations
  • Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with football influencers, creators, and podcasters to co-create engaging, authentic content
  • Develop and manage partnership campaigns with key football voices that align with our brand and marketing objectives
  • Negotiate and oversee partnership agreements and performance tracking
  • Partnerships & Brand Collaborations
  • Work closely with brand and commercial partners to develop joint social activations and campaigns
  • Represent the organization in meetings and calls with podcast hosts, content creators, and external agencies
  • Collaborate with a growing marketing team of c.5 people, including the Head of Marketing, marketing assistants, designers, and video content creators
  • Mentor junior team members and ensure alignment on campaign delivery and messaging

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a senior social media, partnerships, or influencer marketing role (within football, sport or entertainment)
  • Deep knowledge and genuine passion for football—especially the UK game, with awareness of European and global leagues, culture, and players
  • Strong network or familiarity with the football content and podcast scene
  • Track record of delivering high-impact social campaigns and managing creator/influencer relationships
  • Creative thinker with a data-driven mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing a small team and working with external partners
  • Background working in football media, betting/gaming, or fan engagement platforms
  • Experience using social analytics and scheduling tools (e.g. Sprout, Hootsuite, Later)
  • Video or audio content production experience a plus
