Location: Remote
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00
Salary: Depending on experience

This is a senior, influential role for a passionate quality leader who thrives on making a difference. As Head of Quality, you will play a critical role in shaping the quality of education across Babington’s provision.

You will lead and inspire a high-performing teaching and learning team, champion continuous improvement, and ensure Babington is Ofsted-ready at all times. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll drive innovation, raise standards and help deliver truly inspirational learning experiences for our learners. In this role you will :
  • Lead, develop and line manage the Teaching and Learning team to drive continuous improvement across the organisation
  • Champion outstanding teaching, learning and assessment across all provision
  • Design and implement elements of the Quality Improvement Strategy, including self-assessment, improvement planning and inspection readiness
  • Carry out face-to-face and remote observations of teaching and learning, providing high-quality developmental feedback and coaching
  • Support and mentor delivery staff to ensure all provision is at least Good, with targeted improvement plans where required
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners and stakeholders to raise standards and share best practicePromote innovative and effective use of technology to enhance remote and blended learning
  • Provide accurate, insightful quality and performance reporting to inform senior decision-making
  • Act as a visible ambassador for Babington, living our values and inspiring others to unlock their potential
What we need from you :
  • Educated to degree level in vocational related specialism
  • Level 5 Teaching qualification (DET or equivalent)
  • Level 4 IQA (or equivalent)
  • Conversant with Ofsted Toolkit ensuring these standards are fully embedded with all delivery and programme development
  • Evidence of accurately evaluating teaching and learning through Observations and / or Learning Walks
  • Evidence of providing innovative training to support teaching and learning professional development
  • Experience of delivering good or better Apprenticeship / work-based learning outcomes within the last two years
  • Experience of leading work-based learning quality assurance and quality improvement activities
  • Experience of leading face to face and remote observations and making judgments in line with the standards
  • Knowledge of current thinking regarding effective pedagogy, best practice and teaching and learning
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
